OnVista AG takes over Boursorama’s German brokerage business

1 July 2009 - With effect from 30 June 2009, OnVista AG took over the German bro-kerage business of Boulogne Billancourt-based Boursorama S.A. through OnVista Bank GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary which formerly named as OnVista Financial Services GmbH. The asset-purchase agreement signed on 22 December 2008 is thus completed following the award of the banking licence by German regulator BaFin (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht) and the admission to the deposit protection scheme operated by Bundesverband deutscher Banken e.V. (the association of German banks). The above mentioned agreement provides for the sale of the essential assets of the German branch by the previous owner, Boursorama S.A., to OnVista Bank GmbH.

Primarily active under the Fimatex brandname in the German market, the online broker has used the OnVista Bank by Boursorama brandname under a cooperation agreement between OnVista Media GmbH, another wholly-owned subsidiary of On-Vista AG, and Boursorama S.A. already since May 2008. OnVista Bank GmbH, the Frankfurt-based wholly owned subsidiary of OnVista AG will operate as part of the OnVista Group in the future.
